MOTORCYCLE LIVE AT THE NEC.

We had a great day up at the NEC for Motorcycle Live and it was good to meet with some old freinds again. Ritchie had a good natter with Dave Stewart and the ThundersportGB Team who remembered us from the Superstock 600 days.

It was also nice to get a look at last years' Golden Era Superbike championship winning bike too. A very nicely prepared FZR 750. We also met our good pals at R&G Crash Protectors and made some new friends at Bike Torque Racing - who gave us a good deal on some new Brembo discs.

The show on the whole though has something for everyone. Racebikes and road bikes, old bikes, new bikes, kid's bikes, motocrossers and scooters... the lot.

But of course we are a bit biased towards everything that is racing.

And there's some very serious kit to look at.

There was a strong sense of history on some of manufacturer’s stands.

Yamaha’s R1 colour scheme adapted from the famous Kenny Roberts GP racer from the 70’s – what a machine. Yamaha staff told us that the old GP bike on show was not a replica, but actually Kenny’s bike. It was on loan from a collector. Be nice if there was Golden Era GP Class, but that would most definitely empty the wallet!

The Kawasaki stand dominated one of the main halls. It spread out like a giant green spider and at the centre was the new ZX10R Ninja. A bike with 210 bhp as standard - we reckon it will be a force to be reckoned with in Stocksport racing next year.

The centre of attention: The 2016 Kawasaki ZX10R Ninja.

The Team Green racing area neighboured the main stand with a good display of everything competitive, from Motocross bikes to finely tuned road racing machines. Talking of racing, the ACU – the Auto Cycle Union – the number one organisation for all forms of motorcycle sport in the in the UK have their own stand. So if you fancy going racing, go and have a chat with them and we'll see you on the start line next year. :-)
